Maria “Conchita” Carrion (nee Solis), 86, of Lorain, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 26, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her children. Born October 3, 1927 in Mexico, she came to Lorain in 1949 and has lived here ever since.

Every morning after her daily prayers, she routinely spent time catching up on current events through the internet and also reading the updates of her family and friends on Facebook.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain and the Senior Center at El Centro.
Maria is survived by her sons, Ben of Irvine, California, Alberto of Lynchburg, Virginia, Gabriel (Shar) of Lindale, Texas and Martin (Lidia) of Barcelona, Spain; her daughters, Maria Carrion of Lorain, Olivia (Paul) Harvey of Falmouth, Massachusetts and Isabel (Tomas) Pallens of Lorain; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Leandro Solis and Antonio Solis; and her sister, Jesusa Solis, all of Mexico.
