ELYRIA — A convicted sex offender was indicted for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl he met through Facebook.

Christopher Sims, 30, is charged with rape, interference with custody, criminal child enticement and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Lorain police reported that Sims was arrested March 1, nearly two weeks after the girl’s father reported her missing. Police said Sims met the girl through Facebook and urged her to meet him face-to-face.

Police said the father saw his daughter walk out of Sims’ Iowa Avenue house March 1 and followed them after they got in a car. After police pulled the car over, the girl told police she had been staying with Sims and had sex with him on Feb. 26.

Sims was sentenced to a year in prison last month after being convicted in an unrelated sex case that dates to 2004, according to court records.

He well never life-out the first few years of his sentence.
He will end up like Jeffery Dahmer.
      Abused and dead.

What heck took so long for the arrest?
