Westlake intersection widening project causes traffic pattern change

WESTLAKE — An widening project at the intersection of Detroit and Bradley roads in Westlake has resulted in a change to traffic patterns.

During the construction project, which is scheduled to last until October, left turns off Detroit Road at Bradley are prohibited.

Drivers on Detroit Road who want to access Bradley should consider this alternate route:

  • Westbound on Detroit, drivers should turn right onto Cedarwood Drive, which loops around to Bradley Road
  • Eastbound on Detroit, drivers should contine through the Bradley intersection to Cedarwood Drive and turn left, which will bring them back to Bradley Road.

Westlake Police advice drivers not to cut through parking lots in order to avoid the intersection. Officers will be periodically posted in the area to cite violators.
