Allan W. Asire

Allan W. Asire, 85, of Sheffield Lake, formerly of Avon Lake and Ashland, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Allan was born in Elyria on January 8, 1929. He graduated from Sullivan High School in 1945 and served in the Navy and Korean War.

OBIT FLAGAllan was a manager for Marathon Steel, in Sheffield where he retired after 25 years. Asire_AllanHe was a member of Avon Lake Presbyterian Church. In his spare time, Allan enjoyed playing cards, traveling and camping all over the United States, and spending time with his family.

Allan is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances; children, James Asire (Lisanne) of Casper, Wyoming and Tami Asire of Sheffield Lake; five grandchildren, Michael Asire, Joseph Asire (Emily), Joshua Asire, Steven Asire and Gary Miller; brothers, David Asire (Beverly), Joseph J. (Donna) and John and sister, Julie Ferriman (Donald).

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Allan Jr. and daughter, Janice.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 P.M., on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Avon Lake Presbyterian Church, 32340 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake with Pastor, Charles Swartz officiating.
