LORAIN — A Lorain man is accused of leading police on a car chase from Washington Avenue to the intersection of West 13th Street and Reid Avenue about 3:30 a.m. Monday.

Police Officer Todd Hite wrote in a report that he tried to stop a car with no license plate light, but the driver refused to stop. Hite said the driver abandoned the car in an alley and ran.

Hite said he tackled the man, whom he identified as John Liston, in a yard. Hite said Liston smelled of alcohol and had trouble walking. He said Liston refused to take a Breathalyzer test.

Liston, 30, of the 200 block of West 13th Street, was charged with drunken driving, reckless driving, fleeing police and obstructing official business. Liston was held late Monday at Lorain County Jail. His next court date was unavailable.

Another neck tattoo…..what is with those things?

This is like the third one which says “Misunderstood.”

The only misunderstanding here is that we are a country of laws, which need to be followed.

    Do you understand that?

I guess Officer Hite would know about smelling alcohol since he himself had a DUI. Lol
