Paulette Thornsberry, 66, of Collins, died Sunday May 11, 2014, at her home. She was born July 29, 1947, in Philippi, West Virginia.
She was a 1965 graduate of Oberlin High School and lived in the Wakeman and Collins area for 40 years. She worked as an aide at Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin for many years and at the former Mel’s Diner in Wakeman. She loved cooking.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Harold Thornsberry; her children, Brenda (Wendell) Blystone of Illinois, Mike (Rhonda) Hiesser, of Collins; stepchildren, Chris (Karri) Overstreet, of Sullivan, Sabrina (Harold) Kish, of Geneva, Joe (Chelsea) Bremer of Minnesota, and Amanda Hiesser, of Lorain; her siblings, Paul Parks, of Oberlin, Wanda Fountain, of Odessa, Florida; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and her special friends, Peggy Conley, Bill Rogers, and Carolyn Fish.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Flora (Bussey) Parks; and her first husband, Ralph Hiesser.
Friends may call Wednesday, May 14, 2014, from 4 until 8 P.M., at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman, where services will be held Thursday, May 15, 2014, at 1 P.M. Pastor Joe Grof will officiate. Burial will follow at Collins Cemetery.
