Verlie Jones (nee Martin), 85, of Grafton, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center, following a long illness. She was born February 3, 1929, in Pond Gap, West Virginia.
Mrs. Jones was employed as an inspector with General Plug and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
She is survived by one son, Paul (Karen) Jones, Sr. of Parma; six grandchildren, Paul Jones, Jr., Jodie Jones, Dorthy Jones Agnew, Michelle Jones, Serena Groves, and David Jones; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Gladys (Mac) McDougle of North Ridgeville and Ethel (Cheylan) Persinger of West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Jones in 1990; and her parents, Edgar and Eunice Martin.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Friday, May 16, 2014, from 12 Noon until the time of services in the funeral home at 2 P.M., with the Reverend Fred Robinette, Pastor, Church of God of Prophecy, officiating. Burial will follow at Butternut Ridge Cemetery in Eaton Township.
