The cities of Avon Lake and North Ridgeville have arranged bulk pick-up for residents whose homes sustained flooding damage earlier this week.
In Avon Lake, a Republic Services truck will pick up bulk items, by request only, on Saturday. Avon Lake residents should call 800-433-1309 to request pick-up of carpeting and other damaged items at their home. If residents do not call and request a pick-up, their trash may not be collected on Saturday.
Additionally, the city has arranged for two dumpsters to be available for residents on Saturday. The dumpsters will be located in the city parking lot south of the Boat Club on Lake Road.
In North Ridgeville, Allied Waste will provide two to four trucks for bulk trash pick-up on Saturday. The trucks will concentrate their efforts in the hardest hit areas – Ward 2 and Ward 4. Residents are asked to have all trash at curbside by 7 a.m. Saturday.
