Bill served with The U.S. Army during WWII in the European African Middle Eastern Theatre Of Operations. After his discharge from the service, Bill was employed for 30 years at General Motors Fisher Guide in Elyria, retiring in 1977. He was a lifelong member of Magyar United Church of Christ. Bill enjoyed sports and played fastpitch softball in the Elyria area for many years.
Bill is survived by nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Letty L. (nee Moore) in 2007; parents, Alex and Helen Miko; brothers, Frank and Alex Takacs and Steve and Alex Miko; and sisters, Elizabeth Bako and Helen Dunlap.
Friends will be received Tuesday, May 20, 2014, from 11 A.M., until the time of a 1 P.M. Funeral Service, at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend David W. Meister will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
