Dale “Spanky” Aslaksen

Dale “Spanky” Aslaksen, 42, a lifelong resident of Sheffield Lake, passed away at his home surrounded by family Sunday, May 18, 2014, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Dale was born in Cleveland on December 31, 1971.

He was employed for 25 years as an excavator with Kendera Construction. Dale loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He appreciated fast cars and NASCAR. Dale had a great sense of humor and could always make you laugh. He adored his children and did everything he could to make them happy.

Dale is survived by his parents, Dale and Bonnie Jean of Sheffield Lake; children, Taylor and Trent of Wakeman; sisters, Angie Cole of Grafton and Sara Aslaksen of Sheffield Lake; and dear friend, Deanna Rider; he is also survived by his niece and nephews Cody, Austin, Amelia and Garrett.

Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon, from 4 to 7 P.M., Thursday, May 22, 2014 followed by a 7 P.M. service.
