Lorain blotter: Man reports go-kart stolen from yard

Tuesday, May 20

  • 8 p.m. — 3900 block Woodward Ave., a man told police that a go-kart he made for his daughter was missing from his yard. Police found footprints in the dirt near where the kart had been parked.
  • 10:30 p.m. — 4200 block Talbot Lane, a man came home to find a latch pried off of his garage door.

Wednesday, May 21

  • 1:21 p.m. — 3200 block Crehore Ave., a couple walking their dog said a neighbor’s dog lunged at them and bit their dog.
  • 1:35 p.m. — 900 block Central Drive, a woman told police a man who she has a protection order against showed up at her apartment.
  • 4:50 p.m. — 2200 block Garfield Blvd., a woman came home to find a hole shot by a BB in a window of her house.
  • 5:36 p.m. — 700 block Hamilton Ave., a man carrying open cans of beer tripped and hurt himself as he was walking home from a store. He told police the year was 2015 and gave his incorrect age when they questioned him.

    Hamilton Ave. I can understand the tripping, our sidewalks have some concrete slabs higher than others due to settling or tree root uplift. Have to really watch your step, you could either trip and fall, or fall into one of the broken sidewalk potholes.
