Police say man stabbed co-worker in groin

OBERLIN — A man was hospitalized Wednesday after police said his co-worker stabbed him repeatedly in the groin.

Lorenzo’s Pizzeria employee Rodney Nagy, 25, was charged with felonious assault about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the restaurant, 52½ S. Main St.in Oberlin.

Nagy allegedly stabbed his co-worker Joseph Velasco multiple times in the groin while they were working.

Velasco was taken to Mercy Allen Hospital and then flown to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition Wednesday.

Nagy was taken to Lorain County Jail, where he was being held without bond Wednesday.
