Elton E. “Mutt” Mutter, 82, passed away at home in Mulberry, Florida, Sunday, May 25, 2014, due to cancer. Born October 18, 1931in Virginia, he was a lifelong resident of Ohio, retiring from First Energy in Elyria, in 1991.
He came to Florida in 1994 to enjoy his passion of golfing. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving from 1949 to 1953, and later was active with the U.S. Navy Seabees.
Mr. Mutter was preceded in death by his first wife, Loretta Mutter.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Brenda Mutter; children, Neal (Patty) Mutter of Springfield, Ohio, Brian (Marcy) Mutter, Sharpsburg, Georgia; step children, Suzanne (Bobby) Kosky of Grafton, Stephen Lucas of Amherst, Stefanie Chritton of Lakeland, Florida; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
Services will be held in July at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
