Lorain County Fitness Walks is Expanding!

 More Places to Walk: Lorain County Fitness Walks is Expanding!


Beginning this June, there will be TWO new ways to get involved in Lorain County Fitness Walks; now in Amherst! The weekly walking group will now be held at Lorain County Metro Parks Amherst Beavercreek (913 North Lake St, Amherst, OH 44001) every Thursday at 5:30 pm. An added bonus is that the indoor walking track and dry-land equipment will be open to adults at the Mercy Health and Recreation Center in Amherst (47160 Hollstein Dr, Amherst, OH 44001) during the same time, Thursdays at 5:30 pm.
*Participants need to be present between 5:15pm- 5:45pm at Mercy Health and Recreation Center if choosing to use dry land equipmemt 

 

Additionally, Fitness Walks will continue at the Lorain County Metro Parks Splash Zone (95 West Hamilton Road, Oberlin, OH 44074) every Monday at 5:30 pm. Now walkers can get their walking card punched at more locations to be eligible to win prizes! Exercise has been proven to improve mood, decrease the risk for disease, and manage weight. Gear up for summer Fitness Walks in Oberlin and now in Amherst, too!
