Lois Craig (nee Ruddock), 84, of Elyria, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center Emergency Room. Mrs. Craig was born October 19, 1929 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania and lived in Elyria for the past 62 years.
She was employed as a nurse at Elyria Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1993 to pursue home health care. She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in Elyria and a past member of the American Legion, Post 12 Auxiliary. She enjoyed painting, crocheting, gardening and playing bingo.
Mrs. Craig is survived by one son, Dan (Jackie) Fairbanks; and two daughters, Sherry Craig Gibbs and Donna (Irv) Craig Dixon, all of Elyria; nine grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren; also surviving are a sister, Donna Adams of Elyria; and a brother, David Ruddock of San Diego, California.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Fairbanks; her second husband, David Craig; son, Thomas D. Craig in 2007; one daughter, Vickie Fairbanks; one brother, Thomas Ruddock; and her parents, David and Freda (nee Potts) Ruddock.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 12 Noon until the time of services at 2 P.M. Pastor Emeritus George Schultz of Community United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
