Jerry Allen Liller Sr., 70, of Elyria passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, June 13, 2014 following a brief illness. He was born July 23, 1943 in Thomas, West Virginia. Jerry was the owner and operator of Authorized Transmissions in Eastlake, Ohio. He was also the founder of Sam the Parrot on Facebook. Jerry loved his family, birds, and animals, travel, and was self taught at computer programming.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marcia A. (nee Warnick); two daughters, Debra Speer (Jay) and Laura Ward (Mark) both of Elyria; two sons, Jerry Liller Jr. (Susan) of LaGrange, David Liller (Della) of Grafton; additional survivors include 13 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Voelker (Ray) of LaGrange, Norma Hinkle (Roy) of Oakland, Maryland; two brothers, Harold Liller of Hannibal, Missouri, and Ronald Liller of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Edith (nee Sauers) Liller; a sister, Evelyn Spurling; and four brothers, Alvin, June, Kenneth, and Richard.
Family will receive friends 3 to 7 P.M. Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440) 322-4626 where funeral service will be at 7 P.M. Tuesday, June 17 immediately following visitation. Pastor Brian Kenyon of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be private.
