I was blessed to have Mrs. Grau as my 9th grade English teacher. She saw more in me than I knew existed, and inspired me to dream bigger. She was a special woman. I remember that I cross-stitched a picture of some birds for her for Christmas that year to show my appreciation in the interest she took in me. I’m sure that she touched many lives during her career in similar ways, and that her influence will continue to live on through each of them.
