Stephen was a graduate of Sewickley High School in Sewickely, Pennsylvania. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 22 years in various capacities, and was a member of the U.A.W. Stephen loved playing darts, gardening, cooking, golf, fishing, loved his cat, Clubber and was especially passionate about his family.
He is survived by his parents, Edward, Sr. and Carrie (nee Garriss); daughter, Tara of N. Ridgeville; sons, Stephen II of N. Olmsted, Jacob of N. Ridgeville; sisters, Diane (Michael) Neisser of Venice, Florida, Teresa Murrer of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Deborah (Jim) Tuttle of Wellington, Tracy Elworth of Huber Hts., Ohio; brothers, Edward, Jr. (Nancy) of Avon, Joseph of Fairborn, Ohio, and Paul (Cheryl) of Cape May Courthouse, New Jersey; and his many nieces and nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Stadnicar. Family will receive friends 1 until 4 P.M., Sunday, June 22, 2014, at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria, 440-322-4626, where funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Monday, June 23, 2014. The Reverend Chuck Behrens, Chaplain of the Hospice of the Western Reserve, will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
