Virginia Hazel Gray (Hartman), 85, of Elyria, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Life Care Center of Elyria, following a long illness. Mrs. Gray was born in Grantville, Georgia, January 2, 1929, and lived in Ohio for over 60 years.
She was a homemaker and had been employed at Amber Oaks in Sheffield, RL Polk, and Ford Motor Company. She enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with her children. She enjoyed needlework, crocheting an afghan for each of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Vic) Zaborowski of Sheffield Village and Barbara (Dennis) Hosier of Phoenix, Arizona; two sons, Kenneth (Debra) Mott of Pine, Colorado and Daniel Hartman of Elyria; 15 grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Mozelle Gray; and one brother, Frankie Gray, both of Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hartman in 2005; six siblings; and her parents, John Judson and Ruth Elizabeth (nee Boswell) Gray.
Friends will be received Sunday, June 22, 2014, from 4 until 7 P.M., at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria. Funeral services will be in the funeral home Monday, June 23, 2014, at 11 A.M., with the Chaplain Roger Loomis, of Crossroads Hospice, officiating. Burial will follow in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
