Patsy worked for General Motors Company for 30 years as a machine operator, and was their calendar pin-up girl. She was also a member of VFW Post #9871 in North Ridgeville. Patsy’s interests were country music, gardening, socializing, dancing, and especially spending time with her family. She had a big giving heart for animals and anyone in need. Survivors include her daughters, Lovetta (John) McKenna of Columbiana, Sue (Russ) Phelps of North Ridgeville; son, Roger (Sandy) Dickenson; sisters, JoAnn of Florida, Charlotte of Elyria; brothers, Clarence “Bud” of Virginia, Douglas of Elyria, Louis of Florida, Denny of Elyria, Jackie of Elyria; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Patsy was preceded in death by her husbands, Louis Dickenson and Pete Torrence; her parents, Jesse and Edna; her sisters, Frances, Boog; and her brother, Robert.
Family will receive friends 9 until 11 A.M., Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57,) Elyria, 440-322-4626, where services will be held at 11 A.M., in the funeral home. The Reverend Chuck Behrens, of the Hospice of the Western Reserve, will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
