ELYRIA — A Lorain man has pleaded guilty to charges he twice attacked people in the bathroom of the Amherst McDonald’s and then robbed them.

Pablo Soto, 42, entered guilty pleas Wednesday to charges of aggravated robbery, robbery and felonious assault for each of the two attacks, which occurred Nov. 26 and Nov. 28.

Lorain County Common Pleas Judge Mark Betleski said he promised Soto a nine-year prison sentence in exchange for his plea, although prosecutors want a longer sentence.

Amherst police said Soto was identified following the release of surveillance photos of the attacker and his vehicle to the media. When he was arrested, he was wearing the same clothes as the photos released by police.

Police reported that Soto confessed to the robberies, in which the victims were attacked from behind and knocked to the ground before he grabbed their wallets and fled. Soto also told police he committed the robberies to finance his drug habit.

He is due in court July 7 for his sentencing hearing.

“When he was arrested, he was wearing the same clothes as the photos released by police.”

Should receive another 2 years for being stupid!

Note to stupid criminals……Fast food restaurants have surveillance cameras everywhere!

If they can tell how much ketchup you put on your fries, they can certainly identify you if your commit a crime.
