Michael Benjamin Stefurak, 29, of Kipton, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Metro General Hospital in Cleveland following a sudden illness. He was born January 10, 1985 in Amherst. Michael had made his home in Kipton for the last 22 years.
He was employed as a clerk at Johnny’ Carry Out in Oberlin. Michael was seasonally self employed as a concessionaire. He loved technology and all things to do with computers. His hobbies included listening to music, fishing, boating and cooking. Michael had a tender heart for animals in need. He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his parents, Michael “Nick” and Jo Ann Stefurak (nee Wuitowicz) of Kipton; his brother, Bradley; several uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Anna Wuitowicz; paternal grandparents, Michael Stefurak and Lea Beatrice Erismann; his uncles, Christopher and David Wuitowicz.
Friends may call Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 2 to 5 P.M. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 7, 2014 at 10 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
