Woman arrested on warrant at Avon restaurant

AVON – A call about two women in “bad shape” on the sidewalk near The Winking Lizard on Detroit Road led to one woman being arrested and the second being taken to a hospital.

Westlake Police contacted Avon Police at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday to say a male caller informed them that two women were having problems outside the restaurant.

Police arrived to find a 59-year-old woman with an unknown medical problem on the ground and her 29-year-old daughter nearby. Police determined the daughter had a warrant for failing to appear in court for running a stop sign and driving under suspension in July 2013.

The mother was taken to St. John Medical Center in Westlake, and the daughter was turned over to Rocky River Police.
