Jeraldine Curtis (nee Thompson), 91, of Elyria, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 28, 2014 at Center Ridge Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Curtis was born August 30, 1922 in Covington, Tennessee and had lived in Elyria for 25 years.
She was a member of Bethel Church Of God In Christ of Elyria. She was a homemaker who enjoyed garage sales, and loved to shop.
She will be sadly missed by her children, William (Leona) Curtis of Indiana, Beverly Tucker of Elyria, Cathy Dunlap of California, Kurzie Curtis of Arizona; seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Mrs. Curtis was preceded in death by her husband, Cursie L. Curtis; her mother, Catherine Thompson; two sisters, Dora Dell Rio and one in infancy.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 11 A.M. until time of service at 12 Noon at Bethel Church Of God In Christ, 537 Irondale Ave., Elyria, with Elder Willis Williams, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
