Warren Lee Koltas “Butch”, 59, of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic, after a lengthy illness. He was born October 31, 1954 in Lorain, to John and Theresa (nee Kender) Koltas and was a 1973 graduate of Lorain High School.
Butch made his career as a Motor Coach Operator for over 30 years with Highway Coach Company. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Lorain. He loved to travel and his travels took him throughout the United States, Europe and Australia. He was a kind man who would always find odd jobs around his home for those who needed work. He was also a member of the Hooters VIP Club.
Spending time with his family and friends, just cooking out and hanging out on his beach brought him much pleasure. The Fourth of July was his favorite holiday and he hosted an annual party at his home for all his friends to celebrate Independence Day.
Butch is survived by his brothers, Dennis (Wanda) Koltas, of Las Vegas, Nevada and Richard (Linda) Koltas, of Sheffield Village; sisters, Goldie (James) Saegert, of Lorain, Gloria (Bob) Johnson, of Amherst, Linda Koltas, of Columbus and his twin sister, Wendy Starr, of Collins, OH; sister-in-law, Judith Koltas, of Chagrin Falls; many nieces and nephews; numerous loving friends; and his loving pets, Buddy and Tabby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Theresa Koltas; brother, Jerry Koltas; and his brother-in-law, Tim Starr.
The Koltas family will receive friends Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 1 to 5 P.M. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 7, 2014 at 10 A.M. at First Lutheran Church, 603 Washington Ave., Lorain. Reverend Jimmy Madsen will officiate. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
