Jerry L. Shaw

OBIT FLAGJerry L. Shaw, 69, of Wakeman, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at his home after a four year illness. He was born October 18, 1944, in North Lewisburg, Ohio and moved to Sandusky in 1955.

Jerry graduated from Sandusky High School in 1963. He served in the Ohio Army National Guard, Norwalk Post from 1965 to 1972. Jerry was a supervisor at Janesville Products for many years and later was a drill press operator at Whirlaway Manufacturing in Wellington and retired in 2007.

He enjoyed being with his family and supporting their activities. Jerry also enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, riding motorcycles and snowmobiling. He liked to attend vintage car shows with a special fondness for “muscle” cars.

Survived by his loving wife of 45 years, A. Marcia Shaw; daughter, Victoria (Craig) Workinger of Wakeman; son, Mark A. (Melissa) Shaw; five grandchildren; mother, Mabel Shaw; siblings, Harry E. (Maryanna) Shaw, Jr. of Norwalk, Ron (Diana) Shaw of Grand Haven, Michigan and Sonja Simon of Milan.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Harry E. Shaw.

The family will greet friends Monday, July 7, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London and Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 1 P.M. until the time of service at 2 P.M., with Reverend James Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery.
