Police: Tracy Sprinkle key instigator in Lorain bar brawl involving dozens

Tracy Sprinkle

Tracy Sprinkle

LORAIN — Elyria High School graduate Tracy Sprinkle acted as a key instigator of an out-of-control bar brawl early Saturday, Lorain police said Sunday as they released the official police report.

Sprinkle, 19, an Ohio State University football player, was arrested and charged with rioting, failure to disperse, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was one of three people arrested early Saturday, although police detailed a chaotic scene involving several dozen people.

Ohio State spokesman Jerry Emig said Sunday that the defensive end, who was a star in the Elyria program, was suspended from the team following his arrest.

Police said they were called to the Grown N’ Sexy Bar, 1662 E. 28th St., Lorain, just before 2 a.m. Saturday for a large fight inside and outside the establishment. When an officer arrived, he wrote how he observed more than 50 people outside the bar, with pockets of people fighting in several areas of the parking lot.

People also were seen running out of the bar.

“I had a clear vision inside the bar and could see absolute mayhem going on inside,” the officer wrote in his report. “A large number of people could be seen fighting inside, with chairs being thrown.”

The officer said he immediately called for every available officer to assist at the bar, as well as for LifeCare Ambulance to treat a woman who was being carried by other women and appeared to be unconscious. It later was determined that she was hit by a chair inside the club.

The officer said he let his police dog out of his cruiser to help with crowd control. As he waited for assistance, he said he could see the owner of the bar, Abraham Reynolds, trying to break up fights, forcing people out of the bar and stopping others from re-entering.

As the officer was breaking up fights outside the bar, he came into contact with 23-year-old Wayne Blue. He had no shirt on and was bleeding from the face. Blue was screaming at Sprinkle, the officer wrote.

“It was clear that the two of them had been fighting or were currently trying to fight each other. However, each of the males had a number of people with them trying to hold them back,” the report said.

Both Blue and Sprinkle were told to leave, but instead continued the confrontation. Blue was the first to be arrested after refusing to leave and continuing to confront Sprinkle.

The officer once again told Sprinkle to leave.

“The group that had been trying to hold Sprinkle back responded by saying, ‘We got him’ as they pushed him toward a car,” the report said.

The officer then turned his attention to the crowd and worked to clear the parking lot. He was helped by other Lorain police officers as well as several Ohio Highway Patrol troopers, who were called in because of the number of people involved. Many people milled around and ignored officers until a large firework was ignited and the loud explosion caused the crowd to disperse.

However, Sprinkle did not leave the area as instructed. He later was seen arguing again with someone, and at that time he was arrested, the officer wrote.

Later, an officer spoke with Blue, who said he was inside the bar when a fight broke out and he was hit in the face with a bottle by Sprinkle. He has a cut to his lower lip as a result.

Sprinkle denied any involvement with anything, the report said.

A supplemental report written by a second officer details the events leading to Sprinkle’s drug charges.

The officer said he arrived at the bar as the first officer was trying to gain control of the crowd and was the one who arrested Sprinkle, handcuffed him and placed him in a police car.

“I approached the male in the parking lot and placed him against an SUV and began to place a handcuff on his left wrist, advising him he was under arrest,” the supplemental report said. “The male began to tense up and spin around on me, causing me to shove him into the SUV and grab his right wrist and cuff it.”

He was taken to Lorain City Jail.

After he was walked into the station, the officer wrote that he went back to his cruiser and found two small bags of cocaine each weighing about 0.2 grams stuffed under the back seat. The officer said the only other person in the back of his cruiser was a juvenile. He said he checked his backseat after taking the juvenile home and did not find the drugs at that time.

“Sprinkle was laid out across my back seat, and where the items were located was in the area that his upper torso was on,” the report said.

As a result, Sprinkle also was charged with possession of the found drugs.

In addition to Blue and Sprinkle, Darrell A. Dukes, 22, of Elyria, was arrested for failure to disperse.

The aftermath of the night left the bar in shambles. The owner told police as a result of the fight, a pool table had been flipped over, overhead lights were broken, and tables and chairs had been thrown around and broken, along with multiple beer and liquor bottles.

  • HankKwah

Can’t wait to hear how all of the clowns that defended him yesterday respond to this. All he had to do was keep walking. His friends had already walked him out of the bar when the police told him to leave. What’s he do? He goes BACK!!!!

    • oldruss

You have to wonder how he handles the rigors of the curriculum down there in Columbus? Umm, wait a minute, he’s on the football team, isn’t he? Forget what I just said.

  • aric bowens

I honestly think Lorain Police is very capable to set this yonug man up, first they say its heroin now they find cocaine in the back seat, I have no doubt Tracy doest use or sell drugs. Lorain Police are corrupt and I wouldn’t trust them for anything

    • HankKwah

What do they gain by setting him up?

      • aric bowens

A big story another big blow up, your attention

        • Nikko Tuscani

Once again BOWENS thanks for the depths of your ignorance. Fact L.P.D. did not report this to the media. Fact the media goes to the local police stations getting copies of the reports which are a matter of public record! Fact the only one who makes out on such stories is the media hence the term created by them “If it bleeds it leads!” So again what does LPD gain? What? Nothing is what they gain. Go Monday morning arm chair quarter back for a reputable media source like the Sun found in your grocery store. (By the way the most common use for it is lining pet cages!)

          • paul

Aric is far from being ignorant fella

          • aric bowens

At Tuscani you have to be ignorant your self were you there? Is he already guilty before due process? You fool keep my name out your conversation you are of no concern to my opinion

          • Joe Smith

Yet the LPD is guilty without due process

          • HankKwah

And you obviously have no concern for the facts and the way before due process works?? No one said “he’s guilty, sentence him already.” HOWEVER, HE WAS ARRESTED, and NOW it’s come out that he was an instigator. WERE YOU THERE???? WERE YOU??? Then STOP asking others if they were there. If you’ve got something, SHARE IT. Otherwise, you look like another troll who is acting like he’s close to the perp. Shut it.

          • Guest

Which account are you using today Sis?

          • HankKwah

LMAO That’s what you’ve got?? Go home, your mom’s got milk and cookies ready.

          • Guest

Hurry up and make another account to upvote yourself!

          • HankKwah

Dude, really? I don’t need another account and I don’t “upvote” myself. What do I gain from that? A free cookie at the end of the week? Accept reality and get over yourself. Your boy goofed up and he’s gonna pay for it BIG TIME.

          • Starryeyes63

Looks like TW lost another account…

          • Nikko Tuscanni

Hanakah I was a heck of a lot closer being there than you!

          • HankKwah

Nikki, so what? Do you want a cookie? A hug? Who gives a crap? Maybe you should have kept your boy back and he wouldn’t have got himself in trouble. I see he pled no contest, so he knew he was busted. Did it really take you almost a month to come up with that comment? If that’s the case, should I wish you “Merry Christmas” now?

          • Chan

Just curious, were you there? I think it’s fair since you asked it of someone else.

          • HankKwah

Then it’s only fair if you answer that question, too. Fess up.

          • S.A.

Chan asked that of Bowens, not you…

          • Nikko Tuscanni

Yes idiot I was much closer than you!

          • Nikko Tuscanni

Also small minded one and @ Paul L.P.D has back seat cameras…clearly you are unaware of that….so close you pie hole.

        • Sareesce Woolbright-Groves

Aric don’t even waste your time entertaining these RACIST….. JEALOUS ppl….

          • Bill Love

Because they dont agree with u they are racist what a joke u r

          • Sareesce Woolbright-Groves

It’s very obvious that they are racist and jealous it doesn’t take much to figure that out from the post they commented on a few days ago, everyone is entitled to voice their opinion .

          • Starryeyes63

What jealous my family has no criminals??? what jealous my daughter got a full ride to Ashland, Academic? Hardly jealous that my kids were brought up to respect others and take responsibility for their actions. LOL

          • Rtgh123

Even if Tracy Sprinkle were white I’d think he’s a waste of space.

          • Rtgh123

Definitely not jealous of Tracy Sprinkle right now.

          • Nikko Tuscanni

Wow yet ignorance shines in this intellectual giant. First of all you don’t know what my race is…..but by your comment I can see the only racist here is you!

    • Pat Mcgraw

All he had to do was and he was free and clear. Who cares if this idiot uses or sells, why throw away a good education. Why throw away a potential bright future as a college and professional athlete by ASSOCIATING with people who do carry, use, or sell drugs regardless of what narcotic it is. Any one common sense will tell you, you are judged by the company you keep. So Mr. Sprinkle deserves to be charged.

    • Larry Crnobrnja

Did the Lorain PD make this underage college student go to a bar at 2 o’clock in the morning?

      • aric bowens

No but that doesn’t make him guilty of a crime does it, Im sure all his peers were there as well but they won’t mention that it was a young persons party

        • Larry Crnobrnja

Doesn’t make him guilty, but it did lead to his arrest. The courts will deal with the rest. Hopefully the young man won’t get into anymore trouble and have a successful life after college.

        • oldruss

Young people, under age 18, are NOT supposed to “party” in a bar where alcohol is sold, much less “riot”, assault another with a beer bottle (unless you think Wayne Blue is lying and part of your conspiracy theory) nor refuse to disperse when ordered to do so by the police. Hey, it’s all made up sh*t, isn’t it????

          • aric bowens

            Is it, where u there?

        • Tracey Schwarz

He is guilty of being involved in that fight and im not a big fan of the Lorrain PD but I dont think they plated the drugs….. OSU football player and he chose to be involved with a brawl so he evidently didnt care if he was ruining his career or not when there are boys out there that would love that opportunity and cant have it

        • Nikko Tuscani

Ahhh again Mr. Bowens your ignorance prevails. I bet your a psychologist aren’t you? One of those folks who came up with the excuse of peer pressure so his friends had an excuse to get away with what they did that was immoral or illegal. Now hear this “NO ONE CAN MAKE YOU DO WHAT YOU DO NOT ALREADT WANT TO DO!” There I broken it down into simple capital easy to read words. I did that Mr. BOWENS so that you might be able to comprehend.

        • Bill Love

No need to he was the one who got arrested and didnt listen to the cops

        • S.A.

I do believe that bar age is 21…which even if he was just an innocent bystander, he’s guilty of being in a bar, at 2am, underage

    • Nikko Tuscani

First of all Bowens your an uneducated idiot! LPD was investigated by the FBI, and DOJ unlike many other departments a crossed our country such as Cincinnati, and Miami P.D., Lorain was cleared and highly commended of the way they respond to calls. You need to look no further than the Admiral King Riot started by a teacher in the early 2000′s that the ACLU investigated and also commended Lorain P.D.’s handling of the matter. What? that right the ACLU who NEVER sides with the police or any governmental entity sided with Lorain P.D. that says a lot. I think your a loud mouth instigator like your hero. Just like he got what he deserved for choosing to mill around after being given the maximum opportunity to leave he got what he deserved. Perhaps Mr. Bowens you should not be trusted, as a matter of fact your comment should be taken lightly as it is obvious you are jaded against authority figure and open your mouth with out checking into the history of things. That just goes to the depth and the heart of proving you are uneducated, and do no background research on a topic. Perhaps you should save your comments and editorials for the National Inquirer I am quite sure it will be appreciated there.

      • SniperFire

‘ I think your a loud mouth instigator like your hero.’

Gotta love it when those with 3rd grade grammar skills run education smack. LOL

        • Nikko Tuscanni

@ Sniperpee…hey Jr. I hold a master’s. Try typing from a tiny phone with big fingers from the middle east in the middle of a fire fight. Toss of crapbird!

      • paul

This is a lie. They were investigated and like 20 people were fired immediately. You pilgrims are some liars. A whole bunch of people were fired from Lorain pd. I know someone who works down there. Liar

        • Larry Crnobrnja

I’m not taking sides, but I’m just going to point out that you are wrong.

          Here is the proof: http://www.scribd.com/doc/93884429/DOJ-Letter-and-TA-Report-5-16-12

“No pattern of excessive force by Lorain police found by U.S. Justice Department after investigation. Findings detailed in DOJ letter & technical assistance report of May 16, 2012.”

Unless you are talking about a different investigation. Where’s your proof?

          • paul

Lol they robbed my cousin. Proof

          • Larry Crnobrnja

I would point out that claiming your cousin was robbed is a red herring in this discussion (20 people fired immediately), but I’m quite certain the point would be wasted on you.

          • paul

Lol I know someone who works for lpd lol. You got a news article I have word of mouth from someone WHO WORKS THERE!!!!! LOL

          • Larry Crnobrnja

I know people who work for the LPD, the Elyria PD, the FBI, the Department of Justice and the CIA. I also know people in the federal prison system. But WTF does that have to do with your erroneous claim that 20 people were fired from the LPD after the DOJ investigated them?

          • paul

Oh boy hey everyone meet Mr. Me Too lol

          • paul

I know I know…..yeah you too lol. Like the fbi the cia or epd has anything to do with this. Talk about red herrings lol.

          • Larry Crnobrnja

Find a 5th grader to explain it to you.

          • paul

Yeah I know I know……yeah you too lol

          • jz

            You totally missed Larry’s point.

        • HankKwah

Looks like you’ve got multiple accounts, or you’re besties. Regardless, NONE of this story is on the LPD. It’s on Sprinkle, and the fact that he couldn’t walk away AFTER he was ALREADY WALKED AWAY. How stupid is that? Did you miss that part of the report? He was AWAY from the situation, had been asked to leave, his friends walked him away, AND THEN HE WENT BACK!!! Now ALL of it is on him. The drugs, paraphernalia, failure to disperse, riot. All he had to do was WALK AWAY.

        • jz

Where did you get that 20 people were fired immediately?

          • Sareesce Woolbright-Groves

Your so quick to comment and read up on Tracy, why don’t you go read up the LPD….

          • Sareesce Woolbright-Groves

And fact 18 police officers were fired and one went to JAIL

          • Larry Crnobrnja

Fact? Care to share a link to the story?

        • Nikko Tuscanni

@Paul again you astound me by the depths of your ignorance. There were not 20 people fired from L.P.D from the DOJ investigation….In fact no one was fired….lol your a fool do some research before you open your pie hole….You just look stupid!

      • aric bowens

You dont have to trust me, heck you know nothing about me, I stated my opinion you can agree or disagree but you wont touch a single feeling in me with your words, only thing you can do is hope that negative comes out of this situation as I pray for the opposite, bless you for you know only what you know.

      • aric bowens

So you arrest a kid and put out the “fact” that he had heroin on him, o but wait then they fix the lie and now they find cocaine in the police car seat? Was he not searched befor he was put in the car? Not easy to be handcuffed from behind (I presume) and then get to your pockets or wherever to stash some dope. I was a youth coach in football and I know many of the kids Tracy’s age and cocaine is not a “cool” drug to be associated with. Unfortunately you may be one to believe everything you read in this Chronicle but I on ther otherhand clearly know better.

        • HankKwah

Right, because you were there. Oops, I didn’t see your name in the report. Was that because you WEREN’T there? Oh, sorry, you were a youth coach, so you know everything. MY. BAD. Dude, it’s obvious neither you nor your bestie paul know jack. All of your defender buddies screamed how Tracy didn’t do anything and the next day it comes out he was the instigator. You don’t have much integrity left. Go home.

    • paul

Yeah AB you already know big homie. I wonder if his hands were cuffed in front or back

      • Lisa

From the Police Report…. “I approached the male in the parking lot and placed him against an SUV and began to place a handcuff on his left wrist, advising him he was under arrest,” the supplemental report said. “The male began to tense up and spin around on me, causing me to shove him into the SUV and grab his right wrist and cuff it.”

        • Lisa

So, if the Officer “APPROACHED THE MALE”, that would mean they were “FACING” each other at that time. If the Male, “BEGAN TO TENSE UP AND SPIN AROUND”, that would mean the cuffs would have been placed BEHIND his back…. (I’m no Lawyer, but it seems logical according to this report)

    • golfingirl

Is your opinion based on your own experience with the LPD, or just all police departments in general?

Seems you have a “little” history, which might taint your views of law enforcement in general.

    • TruthWhisperer

Guess he should have left and not went beck then.

Consequences for being stupid either way

  • Real talk

Unfortunately the Heroin report was just a mistake because of the media floodng the jail with calls and a officer who was just starting the shift read the wrong booking charge to the media reporter and as usual they ran with it without confirming it with a police report. As far as this young man goes, he was the one who was fighting, he was the one who failed to leave when being told. He put himself in that situation, not the police! He will have his day in court.

  • todd

Told to leave MULTIPLE times, and still continued trying to fight like a thug. How stupid are you to continue in the presence of law enforcement while you happen to be caring cocaine? NATURAL SELECTION is exemplified once again. So sad.

  • Melissa Merrill Snyder

Really? You get a chance to play at OSU and make something good out of your life. Yet you screw it up by hanging at bars (while underage) and getting into fights (possibly drugs too, there seems to be some discussion on that).

Tracey, I hope you learned something and take the opportunity to turn your life around and get back on the RIGHT path. Make something of yourself…don’t get sucked into the bar and drug scene. Be a man, be someone the kids in your neighborhood can look up to and say “I want to be like him’ and have their parents smile.

  • Piltdown_Man

    Neither grown, nor sexy.

  • herekitttykaate

see you all at rover fest on the 26th, You’ll fit right in…LMAO

  • Tawana M. Jackson

I highly doubt that the officers searched the vehicle each time they dropped someone off.

    • oldruss

Yes, it’s all a big conspiracy. Sprinkle wasn’t fighting, wasn’t inside a bar at 2:00 a.m. and underage too, didn’t assault Wayne Blue with a beer bottle, and didn’t refuse to disperse when told to do so several times by those “evil” LPD officers.

      • Bigdogg440

HeII ,The bar was probably even closed too!

    • Nikko Tuscani

Oh but Miss Jackson you are so wrong! In many departments it is policy. and in fact the officer who had Tracy in the back of his car only had to people back there that night and it in fact was searched. If you care to do the research it is in the police report again a matter of public record. Once again the incessant babbling of the un educated. Those who interject their comments out of ignorance without doing the research!

    • golfingirl

      In denial much?

      • paul

Golfingirl you need to get a life. You are on every single page concerning a person of color never on a white criminal story tho. You are the devil

        • Jim

If you are going to stalk someone’s posting history, at least don’t misrepresent it. I’ve seen golfingirl in many stories about white criminals (they are the ones with a propensity for a neck tattoo).

          • paul

I dont have to stalk anything just read the comments loser. Put your cape away. You must feel guilty because you do the same thing you leper

          • Jim

Why do you keep bringing up skin color (including making presumptions about mine)? You don’t know me, so don’t act like you do.

Sounds like you have some unresolved personal issues and are projecting your racist thoughts onto strangers. Glad we can all now see that.

I suggest you do your homework before opening your mouth. If you had, you would see I dislike all people who destroy neighborhoods, regardless of color.

  • Sis Delish

Any wonder why neighborhoods occupied by these folks always deteriorate? According to reports “The aftermath of the night left the bar in shambles.”

    Par for the Course.

  • oldruss

What are the odds that Sprinkle will get suspended from the Buckeyes football team, for, maybe, all of two early games, and then be fully restored, scholarship and all, by Urban Meyer, before the third game of the season?

    • golfingirl

The odds are not good, if he tests positive for cocaine. It would be a minimum 1 year suspension and loss of 1 year of eligibility.

Cocaine is considered a performance enhancing drug by the NCAA, as are all stimulants.

Would have been better for his football career if it was heroin, since it is considered a “street” drug, along with marijuana, and subject to less harsh penalties by the NCAA.

      • oldruss

Don’t know that he was drug tested. Note that he was not charged with underage consumption. I think, from the Plain Dealer/NOMEG (per Cleveland.com) article at least, that he had two bags of cocaine which he tried to hide by stuffing them into the back seat of the police cruiser where he was held for a short while.

        • golfingirl

Not sure either. But if he was carrying, I would bet he was using.

I am sure the NCAA will be testing now. Again, not sure of the law and NCAA rules, including and what happens if he refuses.

Suppose we will find out soon. OSU will not want to use a scholarship on a player who may not be able to play in the future.

          • Lisa

I have worked with the Police in the past doing drug screens on multiple individuals charged with DUI’s and “other” offenses. The only “LEGAL acceptable DRUG SCREENS are performed through a policy called, “LEGAL CHAIN OF CUSTODY”. If the officer arrests an individual for these types of charges, they have only 2 Hours from the time of “ARREST” to collect blood, urine, or breath tests If they fail to collect the samples within that time frame, then the “evidence of the results would not be admissible in court. . I am CERTIFIED through the state to perform these tests. It will be interesting to see if their were any of these tests performed. Not sure if OSU has different policies in place.

  • Tracey Schwarz

What kind of bar is called grown and sexy???? Really only in Lorain! !!! Annnd allowing underage kids…this boy had the opportunity of a lifetime to do something with himself and this is what he chooses. People say they are discriminated against and don’t get the same opportunities as others well I can say this my son wouldn’t get a full ride scholarship and the opportunity. To play OSU football I can tell you that but he would cherish that opportunity and cant have it….close that f******* bar down im sick of living in Lorain and having these bars open to underage kids, drugsand violence.

    • Nikko Tuscani

Tracey I feel your pain and I agree unfortunately the police can’t just close a bar down over one incident. There has to be repeated incidents and Liquor control must be involved. Has anyone noticed that the depths of trouble like this mainly go with certain ethnic bars and not other? Says a lot about up bringing in nationalities, and the ay one is raised. Booze and young kids in there early twenties is always a bad idea!

    • Larry Crnobrnja

Can someone please remind me why we should all care for an individual who obviously does not care for himself? His behaviors demonstrate this.

If he did not play college football, this story would probably have not even made it out of the Police Blotters, but would have appearred as simply another bar brawl in Lorain, on a hot summer night.

Yes, athletes do get “special” attention and accolades , when they do well. It is like an entitlement to them. Why would they not expect the same “special” attention when they do something such as this.

Can’t have it both ways. Love the attention, but now wish it would just go away.

Any concern should be for his career as a student, not as a football player. This was self-inflicted, and there is nobody to blame but himself. Not the Lorain Police, not the bar owners, not any others who were in the bar.

    Just him!

  • Sis Delish

The Kid was supposed to play Defense, but he went on the Offense instead.

  • Thomas Calkins

Happy no one was killed. And happy Mr. Sprinkle wont be playing for OSU!

    • Simon Jester

So very true. We don’t need anymore bad press from people like him.

  • Lashawnda MizzIndependent Slau

There is nothing grown nor sent about having to dodge chairs bottles etc when u r just trying to have a drink and with the legal drinking age being 21 how did this 19 yr old child get into the bar if u admitted children into u r establishment they might throw tantrums ijs

    • golfingirl

      Translation please?

      • Sis Delish

LMS is the head of the Tracey Sprinkle Fan Club, perhaps?

  • golfingirl

Once again, some here have made this a “black versus white” issue.

Those that complain that certain persons here only criticize blacks, are nowhere to be found in defending whites, when the same type of behaviors are exhibited by white persons.

The very thing they pretend to despise, racism, is what they constantly use and fall back on when a crime is committed by a member of their own race.

This is not a black, or white issue, but an issue of yet another crime which happened to be committed by a black person.

I am so sick of the real racists, screaming racism, when it is convenient for them to do so.

  • Chan

If I read this story correctly, he was charged with other things outside of the drugs. Everyone is saying he is a respectable, good kid. I would assume some people on here know his family personally- meaning you know his parents, you’ve sat down and had meaningful conversations. You’ve guided him, he has confided in you. I say that to say, I don’t know a lot of people that I would be willing to vouch for and go out on a limb to say they it’s not possible for them to be guilty of the crimes in which they are charged with. Perhaps the reporter got information in correct, perhaps an officer fielding phone calls gave inaccurate information but does that mean he is innocent? I hope for the sake of his education that there is a “misunderstanding” BUT if he pleads to ANY charges related to case, I would hope the sample people riding for him and willing to come back on here and say they didn’t know him so well after all……

    • HankKwah

Perhaps the reporter got information in correct, perhaps an officer fielding phone calls gave inaccurate information

This long after it happened? No, they’re double-checking everything at this point, before it goes up. This has now gone high-profile. They’re dotting “i”s and crossing “t”s carefully now.

      • Chan

I don’t believe his in completely innocent but I also don’t know happened. Is it possible that they weren’t his drugs? Of course but unlikely that is the case. Adrenaline high, alcohol probably involved and not having enough self control to remove yourself from the situation can lead to consequences that as a young adult one might not be ready to face. OSU will probably do their own investigation and hand down their own punishment.

        • HankKwah

Correct. All we have to go on is the report. And what does anyone GAIN by fabricating information in the report? Answer: Nothing.

For the clown raving that the LPD can’t be trusted, if it comes out that anything in the report is BS, don’t you think the LPD is going to look like a laughingstock? And it wouldn’t take much to do fingerprint/DNA tests on the baggies.

          • Linda Woolbrigjt

For all you good and righteous people making these you so smart and never made a wrong judgment call he PASSES A DRUG TEST…yeah let that set in a minute or two. So now two other young men under 20 years of age threw a party at that place and Tracy and some of his friends got into it with some older guys from Lorain. Tracy saw one of his close friends get hit with an industrial fan of some sorts then wing jump by 4 other guys and knocked out. He was protecting his friend….my grandson. It shouldn’t have happened but it did…they just wanted to be with friends and have a nice time. The owner of the bar should not have rented it to the two who threw the party. But your comments are over the top and FULL OF CRAP. This is someone’s son..brother uncle etc. Everything is not always as it seems….even if you want it to BE GET A LIFE…STOP BEING BITTER!!!!

          • Bill Love

So its the bar owner fault ? I forgot this is America now and days its always someone else’s fault

          • SniperFire

You will notice that personal responsibility is NEVER a consideration for those defending the thugs in these sort of stories.

          • Linda Woolbrigjt

I hope you get meet a REAL THUG and he could be any color maybe you need your world rocked!

          • Sis Delish

            Do they come in Pink?

          • Linda Woolbrigjt

Get any color you want honey child!!!!!

          • Starryeyes63

I have and that is why I have a Concealed Carry Permit. and I KNOW how to use it.

          • Linda Woolbrigjt

You not the only one who carries and knows how to use it.

          • Starryeyes63

This is the type of person you are defending I would consider you made a death threat to me. I can assure you “thugs” are not carrying legally. And holdin that weapon “gansta” style you won’t hit the broad side of a barn.

          • Starryeyes63

Nice FB Pic 5 girls is it????

          • Smira

Sounds like a threat to me, can you carry at LCCC???well not legally.

          • SniperFire

Oh lookie. Another thug apologist. Never any personal responsibility.

          • Starryeyes63

And not very wise to use you name if you are going to threaten people…………….

          • Linda Woolbrigjt

You the one on here talking about you carry and can use it no one else went there and that’s my name and my granddaughters and your sick wacko as would be f- up if you came their way trust you twisted head wacky job finished talking to your sick can’t let go of the thug word self….have a nice sick life. By the way no threat but a promise if you were to mess with mine. Tootles

          • Starryeyes63

            huh??? English please

          • Sareesce Woolbright-Groves

Mom don’t even get back on commenting, arguing with these people, those who know him and his family just keep them lifted up in prayer, and to the rest that are slandering this young mans name judgement day is coming….. Judge and be judged!!!! May God Bless You All

          • Smira

All you threats & vulgarity and NOW you call God into it LMAO

          • Sareesce Woolbright-Groves

Check YOUR grammar, I never threatened anyone on here….. And I always but GOD 1st✌️

          • Starryeyes63

No that was after your “mom” said she hoped “thugs” got us. And told us we weren’t the only ones who carried. ( though I highly doubt legally). Half of what you post is unreadable and you are going to correct my typo. LMAO

          • Sareesce Woolbright-Groves

Every word I type is able to be comprehended if not….. Something’s wrong with you!!! And everyone is entitled to his/her opinion but most of you all post are over the top and disrespectful…. But that’s MY OPINION!!!! Those of us whom know Tracy personally are merely defending him because we know HIM!!!! No one is perfect, yes he may have been in the wrong place, wrong time but that being said doesn’t make him a thug, drug dealer nor drug user, and then to be lashing out and trying to call out people who are sharing our opinion calling us all idiots and thugs and what have you is very childish and disrespectful, and this even caused me to come out of my character because it upset me. That’s why I told my mother to get off of her because my mother don’t know the first thing about carrying not shooting a gun and this also upset her…..now I’m off of here….I have better things to do with my time. #entertainmentover#

          • Starryeyes63

2 replies below this now under guest. Sure sounds like she carries(again not legally).

          • golfingirl

And may God bless you also.

By the way, have you paid your back state income taxes yet?

          • Sareesce Woolbright-Groves

Lol aren’t you funny, I don’t owe back taxes, you need a hobby, you have nothing better to do with your time, than to be looking up peoples Facebook Profiles and background checks…..golfingirl…. Oh wait hmmm let me look up some numbers, #harassment# get your life!!!! ✌️

          • SniperFire

            Thugs will be thugs.

          • Linda Woolbrigjt

Bill everyone has to account for their part….that in clues the owner of the club when he rented to under age young men to have a party and allowed the alcohol and he was there..you people are freaking jokes. And he is no THUG be careful how you sling that word around people you may really end up with a real one in your family.

          • Bill Love

I never said thug I wont use that word I dont know him frm what I hear he a good smart kid who made a bad judgment thats might cist him hope he stays in college and makes something of his life but what im saying everyone involved is responsible for thier on actions

          • Linda Woolbrigjt

Thug was not intended for you Bill…but for the female if that’s what she is who wants a pink one.

          • golfingirl

I have no idea what you are trying to say.

Looks like you may have even spelled your own name incorrectly.

            Is it “Woolbright” or “Woolbrigjt”?

          • HankKwah

How about you let THIS sink in for a minute or two: He’s been kicked off the OSU football team. Doesn’t sound like he’s too innocent of ANYTHING right now, does it? So he passes a drug test. Big deal. They charged him with possession and paraphernalia.

Guess Tracy doesn’t know how to stay out of trouble. He should have picked up your grandson and got out. Don’t try to pass the blame off on the owner. Tracy shouldn’t have EVEN BEEN THERE. He’s underage, so automatically, he’s in the wrong. And nobody here is bitter. The only one that should be bitter is Tracy because he made the asinine decision to go back and start a ruckus AFTER HE WAS AWAY FROM THE SITUATION.

Maybe YOU need to stop being bitter about all the folks here telling it like it really is??? Maybe Tracy should be bitter for your grandson getting him into the situation in the first place. Bet you never thought of that, huh??

          • Linda Woolbrigjt

How bout this all you dumb racists can go straight to hell…you are not interested in the truth. You just want to bash someone everybody makes mistakes. If it was not the fact that it’s Tracy Sprinkle black male from HE’S on a full ride from Ohio State this would not be front page news for days. Lord help you if any one of you or your family members have a laspe in judgment. People on here talking about their guns and how they can use them…and have the nerve to mention threats….whose the thug? there was no need to label anyone you don’t know til the FACTS are in. I am deleting this worthless crab….because frankly my dears I don’t give a damn!!!!!!

          • Starryeyes63

I don’t know what “crabs” have to do with this. But he ain’t on no scholarship no mo……..

          • Smira

Just a bunch of thugs trying to get street cred…….your grandson included.

          • HankKwah

You’re the only one bringing race into this. So what does that say? You don’t know the truth, so stop cryin’ about it. You weren’t there, you don’t know. You can lie and deny all you want but the fact is race has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS.

He was somewhere he shouldn’t have been, he did things he shouldn’t have done, and when he was walked away, HE WENT BACK AND GOT ARRESTED. That just screams STUPID!!

Face it. He screwed up. Sure, everyone screws up every now and then. But he thought he was above it all. He was easily recognizable, he had LOTS TO LOSE, he was in possession of drugs, and HE WALKED BACK TO THE POLICE AND STILL STARTED SOMETHING.

Know what?? HE WAS THE THUG!! YES, HE WAS. He’s been kicked off the OSU team. So, he’s goofed that up, too. Bottom line, he’s going to regret these decisions for the rest of his life. And you know what? You DO give a damn because your grandson was a part of this. Had he not been there, Tracy wouldn’t have done what he did. Deal with THAT.

          • HankKwah

So “Guest” is your name now? What happened? Upset that you spelled your name Woolbrigjt? You said the boy was your grandson. Nice.

          • Lisa

Agree with printing the baggies…. AND, it would be a benefit to both sides if they had “reverse dash cams” aimed at the back seat in these cruisers.. It just makes sense to film the activities in the back seat! That would show “how he was placed in the cruiser, (laying down, face down, sitting up, cuffed behind, or in front…etc…) and if it was possible for him to stash anything… .

  • herekitttykaate

who really cares, just another thug on the street. Or should I say parking lot. That club needs to be shut down already.

    • Sareesce Woolbright-Groves

Most of you have some HUGE internet BALLS, it’s not out the norm for 18-20 yr old college or non college students to attend a bar

      • Starryeyes63

Maybe it should be laws do say you have to be 21 to drink in a bar………….. why else would you be there??? Wait let me guess the music or dancing right?????

      • S.A.

        Doesn’t mean it’s legal

      • golfingirl

Sorry, but females don’t possess testicles.

Also, please pay your delinquent state income taxes. The government can use the money to support all the entitlement programs.

      • Starryeyes63

Were they celebrating your Birthday???? Belated Happy Birthday.

      • oldruss

I spent four years as an undergraduate at a college where most of the students either lived on campus or in off-campus housing nearby. We walked to the nearest bars, and, yes, for three of those four years, I was under the age of 21. However, none of my friends, including me, ever engaged in a “riot”, nor “failed to disperse”, nor “assaulted” anyone else with a beer bottle, nor hid two envelopes of cocaine in the back seat of a police cruiser. There is a significant difference between what many college students do, and what Sprinkle did. And, I never lost my scholarship, either.

        • jz

They had 3.2 beer at that time also. I remember you could hear really great live bands like Fayreweather, Molke Cole, Reign, Moonlight Drive covering songs by Genesis, Jethro Tull, Doors, Yes, Todd Rundgrenl, Jeff Beck etc. Drink and dance till 2 am. All those years I saw 1 fight at a Kent State Bar. Once everybody heard the cop car sirens the place turned quiet, and all the cops could do was walk around and look around. No arrests cus everybody was smart enough with drugs in their pockets to shut the hell up or get out quietly. These idiots act like thugs so they get what they asked for. Listen to the rap crap with all its negative vibes, little to no musical talent unless grabbing your package and pointing your fingers, can’t even play a musical instrument, is considered as good music compared to all the great Motown, Beatles, Santana, and many more truly talented musicians/bands who wrote such good songs and the total opposite vibe as in the air. Strangers partying and getting along and nothing but fun stories to talk and laugh about when you get older. Now, too many young folks have bought into the thug mentality which dominates their so called music. As far as you Mr. Sprinkle. Please get your self together, pull yourself up by the boot straps from the really screwed up thing you did that night and don’t let this drag you down and your young life will get back on track. Prove yourself worthy of another look from another school and pickup where you left off.

  • gmav

Sprinklebell can still have a career. He just has to excell in his given sport. The owners dont care. If charlie manson could throw a 90mph lefty curveball he’dve been wearing pin stripes years ago. Lol

  • SniperFire

That’s going to be the most expensive coke he ever bought.

  • BigT

Nothing like throwing away $10000′s to party and fight. He’ll regret that night for a long time.

  • Sis Delish

Now that Tracey’s Collegiate career is toast, how ’bout Gladiator School?

  • golfingirl

I am trying to listen to both sides of the story here, but I cannot understand most of the comments being posted by those defending this guy.

They make no sense whatsoever…..like they are written in a different language.

Absolutely no grasp of the English language. How do these people communicate with the outside world?

It is hard to take anyone serious, when they can’t even express themselves clearly, through the use of the most basic English language and writing skills.

    • Lisa

Ok… Not trying to get “Off Topic”, but I noticed a few Grammar errors in your post. Here’s how I believe your comment should’ve read, “It’s hard to take anyone seriously when they can’t express themselves using basic English language and writing skills.” (other than that, I agree with most of your comments… )

  • WTFnext

People gain a little fame and they think the laws don’t apply to them anymore. He ruined a perfectly good shot at a good education. How stupid is that? Then again, he wasn’t on an academic scholarship. LOL.

  • Sis Delish

You cousin runs a fine establishment, paul

  • Jim

Care you take your racist comments and get the hell out of here?
