Johanna Josephine Pleska (nee Munzberg), 83, of Grafton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 6, 2014 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. She was born April 5, 1931 in Warnsdors, Czechoslovakia.
Johanna was a member of the German Club, Weight Watchers, the Tops Club and was an Avon Lady. She loved to do computer games, crafts, crosswords, singing, swimming, the outdoors and traveling. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was what made her light up and smile the most.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Alex, whom she cherished and adored; daughters, Suzanne of Grafton, Alexis (John) Sedivy of Lorain; sons, Alan J. (Diane) of Parma, Glenn (Terri) of Litchfield; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Marie; sister, Margaret of Poland.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 P.M., Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria, (440) 322-4626. Funeral Services will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 38307 Royalton Rd. (82 & 57) Grafton. Pastor John Ramsey of Trinity Lutheran will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgehill Memorial Park (Amherst Township).
