The Ohio State Highway Patrol has a commanding lead in a Facebook contest to determine which state has the best looking cruiser.

The contest, sponsored by the American Association of State Troopers, asks Facebook users to vote for their favorite state police, highway patrol or state patrol vehicle.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Ohio’s vehicle had a solid lead with 11,759 votes. The second-place vehicle, West Virginia, had 8,271 votes, followed by North Carolina with 4,262 votes.

The cruiser receiving the most votes will be featured on the cover of an upcoming issue of the Trooper Connection newsletter, the official publication of AAST.

Voting is being held on the AAST Facebook page. Fans can vote for a vehicle by clicking “like” on the individual photos.

Voting ends at midnight Pacific Time on July 15.

Sure, they look so pretty until you see one in your rearview mirror hunting you down.

More waste of tax payer money , being “Pretty” is not what they are supposed to be for .
Maybe they should all start wearing Dresses

    • Jim

I hate wasted tax payer money as much as the next guy, but winning a Facebook competition for having the best-designed cruiser is not costing the taxpayer’s anything. I’m pretty sure they were designed to be very functional.

These are nice, but I like the old 5.0 Mustang cruisers they used to have.

    • d c c

when did they ever have Mustangs in Ohio

      • Joe Smith

        Late 1980′s
The first one I saw was in Florida when on vacation, like they needed a 5.0 to catch granny LOL.
        They were sharp

Don’t believe they were ever used in Ohio by the OHP,some states did use them though

          • Joe Smith

I meant they as in police in general and cruisers in general, not Ohio , I misread your first post bro, sorry

  • Bob Dobbs

Guess which state is #1 in issuing driving citations…. OHIO. So that’s why we have such nice cruisers,… lots and lots of tickets. We should be ashamed. http://jalopnik.com/the-most-ticketed-cars-in-america-will-genuinely-surpri-1599072767

I have never in my life looked at any type of police vehicle and thought “Oh, what a pretty car”. What nonsense.

  • GreatRedeemer
