Pearl (Freeman) Grosch, 91, of Huron, passed on to the Lord on Sunday, July 20, 2014, with her family by her side at New Life Hospice in Lorain. She was born January 28, 1923 in Coeburn, Virginia and moved to Ohio in 1950.
She was a member of Trinity Temple. She worked at the Berlin Heights Box Shop and Philco in Sandusky. She enjoyed working outside, gardening, spending time with her family and worshiping the Lord.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Ray (Sandra) Freeman of Vermilion, Lonnie Wayne (Janie) Freeman of Wellington and Darlene Brown of Vermilion; her brothers, Buddy Payne of Florida, Quintin Payne of Norwalk, Estle Payne of Florida and Leonard Payne of Berlin Heights; sisters, Muriel Register of South Carolina and Eutha Carty of Berlin Heights; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Nellie (Winebarger) Payne; her first husband, Garland “Bud” Freeman; her second husband, Robert Grosch; son, Ronnie Freeman; brother, Laymon Payne; and a sister, Lotrus Payne.
Friends may call Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights. Services will be held Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11 A.M. at the Trinity Temple (at the corner of St. Rt. 113 and Arlington Road). Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park (on Bogart Road near Huron).
