Ronald Roy Alexander

Alexander_RonaldOBIT FLAGRonald Roy Alexander, 78, of Elyria, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, at New Life Hospice in Lorain, following a two year battle with cancer. He was born August 13, 1935, in Cleveland.

Ronald served in the National Guard of Ohio and the United States Army from 1957-62. He was employed at JR Dall Ford in Elyria, as a mechanic for 27 years. He loved watching the Cleveland Indians and fixing and collecting old antique tube and transistor radios.

Mr. Alexander is survived by his sons, Ricky Alexander of Elyria, Scott Alexander of Vermilion; daughters, Sherry Baker of Virginia, and Ronni Mitchem of Indiana; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother, Keith Alexander of Cleveland.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Alexander (nee Halsey); parents, Melvin and Ruth (nee Heine) Alexander.

A Graveside Service will be 10 A.M., Saturday, July 26, 2014, in the Chapel at Resthaven Memory Garden, 3700 Center Road, Avon. Chris Robinson, Chaplain at New Life Hospice, will officiate. Military Honors will be performed by Elyria VFW Post #1079.
