He is dearly loved by his wife, Barbara, of 43 years; sons, John (Tom), Jim (Maria) and Terry (Carlene); sister, Helen; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one niece; one nephew and his dog, Bandit.
John joined the Merchant Marines in 1948. He also served his country in The United States Marine Corps, where he was a member of the Marine Corps Golden Glove boxing team. Born in Ohio, John moved to Florida with his wife, Barbara and sons, Jim and Terry in 1971. He was a construction contractor for 30 years for the Eckerd Corporation. John passions included sailing the world for Atlantic Refining, football, where he assisted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers film crew for 27 years. He was an avid golfer with his buddy, Jack Heath. John traveled the world with his life-long friend Jerry Burns. John”. John touched the lives of everyone he met. He will be dearly missed by all that had the honor to have known him.
