Elyria blotter: Woman says she used pepper spray to escape men

Tuesday, July 29

  • 9 p.m. — 1400 block Lake Ave., a woman said she was walking from the supermarket when two men yelled at her from a beige Ford Explorer. She said the two white men got out of the car, ran after her and grabbed her shirt before she pepper sprayed them and escaped.
  • 9:04 p.m. — 400 block Ninth St., Camille Burke, 22, was charged with domestic violence after she got into a fight with her mother over unclean dishes.
  • 11:30 p.m. — 1000 Chestnut Commons Drive, Frank Santoro, 29, was charged with theft after a Wal-Mart employee watched him shove body wash down his pants and attempt to leave the store.

    22 year old gets into a fight with her mother over unclean dishes? Let’s see, mom probably spent more time being her friend while the child was growing up. Now that mom is wiser she realizes she didn’t instill certain characteristics in said child and now that she is an “adult” the outcome is her daughter fighting her.
