Critter Chronicles: Artemis

Artemis is a gorgeous mix that was rescued from the Lorain County Dog Kennel. He’s a playful, energetic pup and affectionate hound with a gentle demeanor. He’s a good boy looking for a loving home. If you don’t know anything about coonhounds here’s a little bit of info … a  black and tan coonhound makes an exemplary pet. It is mellow, amiable, calm, and unobtrusive indoors. Outdoors, its strong hunting instincts take over, and it can be difficult to turn from a track after it starts trailing. This dog is strong, independent, and can be stubborn at times. The black and tan coonhound is gentle and tolerant with children. It is reserved with strangers.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.
