Adam Shepard Westbrook, 38, of Amherst, passed away suddenly at his home. Adam was born September 20, 1975 in Sandusky. Amherst was his home for the last six years. He was a member of the Local #120 Pipefitters Union.
Adam loved playing and watching basketball, especially the Cleveland Cavaliers. He enjoyed his two German Shepherd dogs, Max and Rambo. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, Renee and his children.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Renee (nee Honis); two daughters, Emily and Desiray, both at home; his mother, Cheryl Westbrook (nee Shepard) of Holly, Michigan; his father and stepmother, David and Liz Westbrook of Elyria; sister, Christa (David) Kissel of Clarkston, Michigan; maternal grandmothe, Joan Shepard 0f Strongsville; his stepbrother, Greg (Rachael) Cervone of Elyria and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sarah and Todd Hildebrandt of LaGrange.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Donald and Patricia Westbrook; and by his maternal grandfather Carl Shepard.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 7, 2014, 11 A.M., at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria. The Reverend Beth McKee, Chaplain of Wesleyan Village, Elyria, will officiate. Burial will follow at New Russia Township Cemetery in Oberlin.
