LORAIN – A man who held up a store clerk at knifepoint and threatened to kill her this week is still at large, according to Lorain police.

Around 7 p.m. Monday, a white man with dark hair in his 30s walked into Lorain Cigarette Outlet at 5245 Oberlin Ave. and wandered around the store until all of the customers left, according to Lorain Police Det. Brian Denman.

That’s when the man walked around the counter and pulled out a knife in front of the clerk, saying, “Don’t move or I’ll stab you,” Denman said.

The clerk handed over money from the register and the man walked out of the store, calmly passing by an incoming customer, according to Denman.

Police are looking for the man, whom they say was wearing a white T-shirt and a hat.

If anyone has information on the suspect, they should call Lorain police at 204-2100.
