Virginia V. Demboske (nee Kapucinski), 98, of Elyria, died Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Huntington Woods in Westlake, following a short illness. Mrs. Demboske was born October 30, 1915 in Amherst and lived in Elyria for most of her life.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the church’s Altar and Rosary Society and Parent’s Club and she enjoyed working the fish fries at the church. She loved to sew, crochet, and spend time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Demboske is survived by two daughters, Laurie (Jack) Kuklis of Elyria and Carol Painter (Allen) of Milan, Ohio; five grandchildren. eight great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. Demboske in 1996; three brothers, Tony, Walter and Frank Kapucinski; three sisters, Frances Ligas, Louise Brosky, and Annette Nocleg; and her parents, Leon and Nora (nee Holeva) Kapucinski.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 4 to 7 P.M. Closing prayers will be in the funeral home Monday, August 11, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. followed by Mass at 10 A.M. at St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria, with The Reverend Father Frank P. Kosem, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
