Antonie “Toni” Pavlik (nee Mrvova), 78, of Avon Lake and formerly of Avon, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at St. John Medical Center, Westlake, following a sudden illness. Mrs. Pavlik was born August 16, 1935 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, the daughter of the late Josef Mrva and Anna Mrvova. She immigrated to the United States and was very proud to be a citizen.
Antonie was employed as a Key Punch Operator at Penton Publishing, Cleveland. After retiring she worked at Marc’s in Westlake as a cashier, where she befriended many customers. Mrs. Pavlik was active with the Czechoslovakian community, supported the Cleveland Play House and the Arts, and enjoyed traveling with her late husband. She was a hard worker, a dedicated wife and mother and adored her grandchildren and siblings.
Mrs. Pavlik is survived by daughter, Jitka “Judy” Tavallaee (Ardy) of Dallas, Texas; son, Jerry Pavlik (Beth) of Avon Lake; seven grandchildren, Marissa, Meredith, Zachary and Morgan Tavallaee and Sarah, Jared and Rebecca Pavlik; brother, Josef Mrva; and sister, Marie Nemecova (nee Mrvova), both of Czechoslovakia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life and best friend, Jaroslav “Jerry” in 2011.
