Mary Louise Cain

Cain_MaryMary Louise Cain (nee Golden), 74, of Lorain, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 8, 2014 at her home, following a lengthy illness. Mary was born July 2, 1940 in Ligonier, Indiana. She had made her home in Lorain since 1979.

Mary was a loving wife and mother. She was employed at Sherwin-Williams Paint in Cleveland for 10 years in the stores division as a secretary. Mary was an active member of Toledo Road Church of Christ in Lorain. She had a servants heart and was investing in Gods work through the Church. Mary was involved in Vacation Bible School, a Sunday School teacher who helped develop the teaching curriculum. She was well known to be an excellent seamstress. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 51 years, Minister Steven Cain; her son and his wife, Brian and Lisa Cain of Auburn Hills, Michigan; her daughters and their husbands, Nora and Doug Hicks of Amherst, Dian and Shawn Sandefur of League City, Texas; her grandchildren, Darren, Cody (Tara), Megan, Alyssa, Natalie, Coleman and Grayson; her brothers and their wives, John and Donna Golden of Ligonier, Indiana, Lee and Sue Golden of Syracuse, Indiana; her sisters and their husbands, Margaret and Harold Patrick of Emma Town, Indiana and Pat and George Myers of Ligonier, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her two grandchildren, Kevin and Devin; her brother, George Golden; and her parents, Howard and Neva Golden (nee Shuder).

Friends may call Monday, August 11, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 2 P.M. at Toledo Road Church of Christ, 5075 Toledo Road, Lorain. The Minister Kent Hoggatt, will officiate. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 1 P.M. at Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier, Indiana.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, OH 44053.
