100th Birthday – Brackett

Orville “Red” Brackett

Orville “Red”

Happy 100th Birthday, Orville
“Red” Brackett!

Born in Kentucky in August
1914, Red has lived in Akron for
most of his adult life. He and his
wife, Bernice, were married for
63 years. They enjoyed their cottage
on Piedmont Lake and
traveling together after his
retirement from BF Goodrich.

They loved traveling so much,
they even organized senior citizens’
bus tours for more than
20 years. Throughout the
years, Red has been active in his church, the Masons and
Lockwood Senior Citizens.

Later this month his three daughters, their families and many
of Red’s friends will help him celebrate his birthday. His family
is inspired by his kindness, faith and good humor. We love you,
Grandpa Red!
