Driver injured in head-on interstate crash released from hospital

Kevin Mchue, a driver critically injured in a three-car crash on Interstate 90 in Sheffield on July 29, was released Thursday from MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, a nursing supervisor said.

Mchue, 25, of Cleveland, was westbound when he drifted into the left lane and struck the bumper of another car, according to Officer Jose Soto’s report. The driver of the car whose bumper was struck wasn’t seriously injured.

Mchue then caromed through the median into the eastbound lane, hitting a car driven by Adam Couture head-on. Couture was released from Metro on July 31.

The crash remains under investigation.
