Jeffrey A. Baker, 57, of North Ridgeville, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, following a sudden illness. He was born in Bay Village and had been a life-long resident of North Ridgeville.
Jeff worked as a groundskeeper for Resthaven Memory Gardens for 30 years, then for the last seven years worked with Zergotts Landscaping.
He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play baseball and softball, both sports he too played for many years.
Survivors include his son, David (Lora) Baker of North Ridgeville; grandchildren, Daylon, Duke and Peyton Baker; mother, Marguerite J. Baker of North Ridgeville; sisters, Diana Goode of Elyria, Gail (Gary) Kula of Middleburg Heights, Grace (Chuck) Johnson of Grafton and Linda (Bob) Matis of North Ridgeville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell “Don” Baker in 2005.
Friends may call Sunday, August 24, 2014, from 5 until 8 P.M., at Bogner Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A memorial service will be held Monday, August 25, at 10:30 A.M., at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. The Reverend David Howell will officiate.
