Frankie M. “Peggy” Schuster

Schuster_FrankieFrankie M. “Peggy” Schuster (nee Skaggs), 86, of Oberlin, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin. She was born November 8, 1927 in Waxahachie, Texas.

Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a Sunday School teacher at St. Paul UCC in Elyria for many years, Peggy was an EMT with Elyria Twp. She was a past president with The Isaac Walton League and an auxiliary member of Eagles Eerie #431, a past member of Oberlin V.F.W. Peggy was also involved with The Boy Scouts.

Survivors include two daughters, Joanne R. Scott (Ben Spade) of Oberlin, Julianne R. Yoshimoto (Kay) Hesperia, California; two sons, Ralph Jr. “Joe” Schuster (Jessica) of Elyria, Jonathan R. Schuster of Elyria; additional survivors include eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Ralph Sr.; son, Jimmy F. Skaggs; her parents, Frank and Cleo (nee Williams) Skaggs; and a sister, Bobbie Moats.

The family will receive friends 4 to 7 P.M., Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria, (440) 322-4626, where funeral services will be at 10 A.M., Thursday, August 28, 2014. Entombment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.

Memorial contributions in Peggy’s memory can be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
