Lorain police: Woman threatened with sawed-off shotgun

Thursday, Aug. 21

  • 9:51 a.m. — 2100 block Homewood Drive, an employee saw a man and woman enter a dressing room with almost $1,300 worth of merchandise and try to leave the store wearing it.

Friday, Aug. 22

  • 4 a.m. — 300 block E. 31st St., a man woke up to find his lawn mower missing. He said the mower had two wires hanging from the steering wheel that he typically used to start the mower.
  • 5:42 p.m. — 2100 block W. 19th St., a woman and her neighbor were arguing when the neighbor’s friend came up with a sawed-off shotgun, pointed it at the woman and threatened to shoot her, according to a police report.
  • 7:51 p.m. — 800 block W. 19th St., a man got into a physical fight with his mom’s boyfriend.
  • 11 p.m. — 1200 block W. 24th St., a woman said her husband slammed her into a wall and pushed her down the stairs. The husband told police she often calls police “without merit,” according to police.
