Carlisle Township firefighters and Ohio Highway Patrol troopers survey the scene of a roll over crash on Diagonal Road in Carlisle Township near the Duck Pond on Thursday night. Alcohol may have contributed to the rollover crash near Lorain County Metro Parks’ Carlisle Reservation about 8:30 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Driver Lon Zeaber, who wasn’t seriously injured, admitted to coming from a golf outing where he had been drinking, said Trooper Tammy Soto of the Elyria post of the Ohio Highway Patrol. An open container of alcohol was found in the 2005 Hummer driven by Zeaber.

Zeaber, 40, of the 100 block of Mallard Creek in LaGrange, was hospitalized at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center.

Uh oh…at least he owned up to it but wonder what his insurance company is going to say????

  • Sis Delish

Well, since the rollover was near Duck Pond, the insurance company may say, “Afflack”!
