Lucille M. Ruben, 81, died Friday, August 29, 2014, at Hospice of North Central Ohio. When Lucille Brickner was born, God gave her the breath of life, now she has given up the breath of life to eternal life. She was born June 7, 1933, in Brazean, Wisconsin, the daughter of Andrew and Gusta (Kloss) Brickner.
She graduated in 1951 from Oconto Falls High School in Wisconsin. She was a homemaker all her life and had been employed at Murray Ridge Center for 10 years. She enjoyed her grandkids, gardening and visiting with people.
She is survived by three daughters, Cheryl (Steve) Sodders, Bonnie (Bill) Littlehales and Susan (Doug) Halke; three grandchildren, Christy Sodders-Abbott and husband, John, Nicole Piscitani and husband, Frank and Christopher Halke; two great-grandchildren, Haley Sodders and Dominic Piscitani.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Darrell Ruben, died March 2, 2014, after 62 years of a loving and faithful marriage – they had vowed until death do us part – and a grandson, Richard Littlehales.
Friends will be received Tuesday evening, September 2, 2014, from 5 until 8 P.M., at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem. A Private Service will be held by the family. Online condolences may be shared at the funeral home website at www.mattesonfh.com
