LORAIN — A car struck a utility pole Tuesday afternoon, sending one woman and one teenager to the hospital.

About 4:30 p.m., a car traveling westbound on Tower Boulevard hit a pole in the median near the intersection with Kingsway Drive, Lorain police said.

A 40-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl were in the car at the time of the wreck. The woman was taken from the scene with potentially serious injuries, while the girl was taken with minor injuries to Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, LifeCare vice president Herb de la Porte said.

Not saying this is the case, but the more technology in our hands (cell phones), the less attention people pay while driving. How many people have to die before people wake up & use their brains. NO text is that important. If it is, pull over!
