Spring is in the air! Which means spring cleaning is not far behind. If you are wondering where to take your household hazardous waste and your driver’s license has a Lorain County Address on it, you can take it to the Lorain County Collection Center operated by the Lorain County Solid Waste Management District.

The collection center is located at:

540 S. Abbe Rd.

Open Center Hours:

12 pm - 6 pm (Mon., Wed.)

9 am - 6 pm (Sat.)

Need to shred old documents? April 19, 2014 from 9 am - 12 pm, residents will be able to bring their documents to the Collection Center's parking lot and have them shredded for free on-site. A food drive wil also be taking place accepting non-perishable food items for Second Harvest Food Bank
