Browns Notes

Browns list Jake Delhomme as 3rd QB for Bengals game

CINCINNATI - Jake Delhomme will be the third quarterback for the Browns  (5-8) when they meet the Bengals  (2-11) today at 1 p.m. at Paul Brown Stadium.

Seneca Wallace got the nod as Colt McCoy's backup because he's part of the Wildcat package. The second quarterback can enter the game at any time, but the No. 3 must wait until the fourth quarter. If he enters sooner, the other two quarterbacks become ineligible.

Delhomme opened the season as the starter and had started the last three games, going 2-1. But coach Eric Mangini named McCoy the starter for the final three games after he returned this week from a high left ankle sprain.

There was little surprise among the Browns inactives: linebacker Scott Fujita (knee), tight end Evan Moore (hip), receivers Jordan Norwood and Carlton Mitchell, defensive linemen Jayme Mitchell and Brian Sanford and cornerback Coye Francies.

Linebacker David Bowens is active after returning to practice Friday. He suffered a concussion last week against the Bills.

Receiver Demetrius Williams will be active for the first time as a Brown. He was signed six weeks ago. He took Carlton Mitchell's spot as a backup receiver.

Bengals receivers Terrell Owens (knee) and Chad Ochocinco (ankle) were active and will start.
