CLEVELAND – Former Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar was arrested early this morning in Solon and charged with driving under the influence.
He was released and attended Cleveland’s game against Cincinnati at FirstEnergy Stadium.
Kosar was stopped at 2:42 a.m. for speeding and was the only occupant in the car, according to Solon police. A strong alcohol odor was detected and Kosar was put through sobriety tests. He was then arrested and taken to the police station without incident.
Kosar was charged with driving under the influence and speeding.
Kosar played for the Browns from 1985-93 and is the television analyst for preseason broadcasts.
Kosar didn’t immediately return a message left for him.
